Cancel Save. Universal Conquest Wiki. The literal translation of the title is Bend thyself. There are some men and women who like to be dominated and be put on leashes, etc. I think the song can be understood as a metaphor for religious domination. It seems to indicate that the singer is not a human but either a monster or a god is there a real difference?

This song should be listened to by Sadist, and Masochist. Rather, it would be clear that the one whose desire they try to satisfy is distorted. Enjoying the minimal elements of the fantasy is the way of transgressing it. Amazing song, especially when plaeyd live. Just love the electro-game sound Flake plays in a part of the song. And the time Till and Flake were arrested was the best live performance ever, kkk, I laughed a lot.

You must be Brazilian. General Comment it is NOT about abuse or "misuse of total power" it is about SM sadomasochistic a master and his slave - bondage and this things and i'm SURE that's the meaning, because i speak german, too - and in the german version there's no doubt about it Schmello on February 11, Link.

General Comment "Du Hast" was the first song I ever heard from this band and at first I didn't much like it because it was in a language I didn't understand and Till's voice kinda creeped me out for a while. I mean, doesn't he sound like this huge terrifying machine when he sings? Anyway, earlier this year, my boyfriend gave me some Rammstein music he had downloaded [among which was "Du Hast"] and I decided to give the two songs a listen to see if I liked them any more.

Well, I did and now I'm in love with the band. I love the fierceness of the guitars and the general hardness of the music. Till doesn't creep me out any more. I think he's amazing and I think German goes perfectly with heavy metal.

Anyway, about this song. I think it is about control in a bondage and mastery situation. It doesn't directly say anything about sex, but if you read well enough in to the lyrics you should be able to see it. I think it is about a person who has a bondage slave who uses that person for sex and whatnot. He enjoys the sexual part of it and the control and power he has over this other person, but at the same time he knows it's hurting them and can't bare to look at their face.
